New Entrance policy for those entering the US:

As of April 30, 2013, paper I-94 cards will no longer be issued at airports, and I-94 information will instead be accessible via an online portal, www.cbp.gov/I94. Those entering by land will continue to receive an I-94 card. We strongly recommend that all petitioners and aliens go online to print a hard copy of the I-94 card.  CBP has posted an FAQ regarding the recent automation of I-94 cards.

As always I recommend reading the news updates on Artistsfromabroad.org

****** SEQUESTRATION TO TAKE TOLL ON VISA PROCESS *******

The United States Department of State has warned that, as a result of sequestration, the number of officers processing visa applications at US Consulates will be reduced. Delays at the consular level can be expected and/or some consulates will cease providing visa services.

Thus far USCIS has not issued a statement regarding processing times at the Vermont and California Service Centers. However, it is wise to expect similar delays in Regular Processed petitions. The days of a petition being adjudicated in 20 days with Regular Processing are most likely over, and we very well may be back to the old 60-90 days. The next few weeks will tell.

A strong word to the wise....if you have USA performances coming up - start the process as soon as you can.

Exciting News!

Archie Fisher and Garnet Rogers will be doing a joint tour in March/April 2014. They did a small one in Spring 2012 and realized they still really enjoy touring together.  Their plan is to make it more a night of two complementary artists playing and singing with each other then two separate artists on a stage doing their own music. This will lead to some really great collaborations !!!
